Rally du Valais 2011

The entire organising team of the Rallye International du Valais gets ready for the fray.

At the dawn of this New Year, the entire organising team of the Rallye International du Valais gets ready for the fray and has already started elaborating the 2011 edition, the 52nd of its rich history, which will again constitutes the last round of the FIA European Rally Championship.

In 2010, as every year, the event has been subject to an inspection from the international authorities that govern the sport. Each aspect of the organisation is thoroughly assessed and the laudatory final report underlines many positive points regarding the running of the Swiss round of the European Championship.

Just as flattering as they may be, these conclusions don't make a dent in the organising team members' motivation to provide all those involved with an event up to their expectations. They are already on a war footing to think about the improvements that will enrich the 2011 vintage with two key objectives in mind: an exemplary safety and the confirmation of the fantastic popular success the Rallye International du Valais enjoys year after year.

The geographical situation of the rally, in the heart of Europe, the stunning landscapes of the region and asphalted roads that count among the most demanding of the discipline have for long seduced the most intransigent drivers. The unique character of a remarkable route from the sporting point of view, reinforced by changeable autumnal weather conditions, the quality of the organisation, the high-tech infrastructures implemented in Martigny, the hub of the event, the warmth of the welcome and the attraction of a matchless backdrop are as many assets the organisers can count on to back up the achievement of their goals.
