7th place for Rok Turk at ERC Circuit of Ireland Rally

Jumps and crests, fast road sections and quickly changing weather conditions were most certainly a challenge for Rok Turk, attending first tarmac event of European Rally Championship season, Circuit of Ireland Rally.

With co-driver Blanka Kacin they bravely took on the stages, gaining new experience from every kilometer of new roads and achieving better and better times with Peugeot 208 R2 among powerful competition withing ERC3 class.

Friday morning Rok, Blanka and 21 other teams of ERC3 class started the race and fought for ERC points throughout the race, till the last stage on the following day, when seconds decided on final standings. After 215 kilometers of special stages of Circuit of Ireland Rally, Rok and Blanka did very well, they finished seventh in ERC3 class.

Rok was unable to hide his excitement in Belfast at the finish of the race: “I’m very pleased with this rally. Together with OPV team, we managed to achieve an excellent result. It’ been a real pleasure to race on these specific roads of Northern Ireland. Fight for seconds until the end among such excellent competition, attractive jumps over many crests and beautiful Irish scenery made a very nice impression. Thanks to Peugeot Slovenia for all the support and to all the fans cheering and keeping their fingers crossed for our team.”
