Rallylegend 2016 opens its building site. A tireless "work in progress" will stage from now till October on the awaited four days between 6th and 9th, one of the most expected international events. The staff of Rallylegend will work in the next few weeks on ideas, insights, initiatives, but especially on the rally, the focus of the event, with its incomparable vintage rally cars and the most beloved champions of history. Mixed together with some star players of today, with the highest "on wheels" expression of the current rally world. Four days of great show that will animate the Rallylegend Village, the beating heart of "full rally immersion" in San Marino. A warm and picture-perfect hospitality for the thousands of fans arriving, made possible thanks to the consolidated collaboration with the Secretariat of State for Tourism and Sport of the Republic of San Marino and the FAMS, the Motoring Federation of San Marino.

THREEE GREAT CELEBRATIONS: 40 YEARS OF VW GOLF GTI, FIAT 131 ABARTH AND ALITALIA IN RALLIES

There are already three big shots for the program of celebrations at Rallylegend 2016, and there will soon be more highly-attractive events being studied.

“GTI 40 years of fun” is the slogan for the celebrations of the legendary VW Rally Golf, on the 40th anniversary from its “birth”. Space and tributes will be dedicated to this motorsport icon. Drivers entered at Rallylegend but also owners of road versions will have the chance of being protagonists of an unforgettable experience.

“When Alitalia used to fly in rallies” and “40th Fiat 131 Abarth” will be other two side events, rich in sports fascination. The livery, the great history of Alitalia, which signed the Fiat and Lancia cars during the 1970s and 1980s will live its epic again at Rallylegend. A rich schedule with meetings with the drivers of the time, with old shootings and the exhibition of cars that made the history of the make: Lancia Stratos, Beta Coupè, Fiat Ritmo and Fiat 131 Abarth. The latter being absolute protagonist in the season of its first 40 years, the 40th Fiat 131 Abarth, with the exhibition of a nourished group of “one-hundred-thirty-one” in various official liveries.

On the bridge deck of Rallylegend are Paolo Valli and Vito Piarulli. From the first idea 14 years ago to the overwhelming international success.

Vito Piarulli, on the eve of the final rush that will lead to October 6th, summarizes: “The call and appeal of Rallylegend are strong, stabilized, and more, every year they surprise us for their energy and growth. Our event has become by now a trademark, I would say an unmistakable griffe. There are many events that were created afterwards all over Europe and that take inspiration in their names and logos to Rallylegend: Legend, Leggende or Legenden. This is the sign that our idea has great recall, even though I think that for everybody the one and only, the original one is always ours”.

PIRELLI WILL BE BACK AT RALLYLEGEND AS OFFICIAL SUPPLIER OF THE EVENT

The return of Pirelli is a welcome back: the company had indeed been already present at the first editions of Rallylegend: this gives further prestige to the San Marino event.

Pirelli will be exclusive supplier of Rallylegend, by furnishing tires for 3 categories – Historic, Myth and World Rally Cars – with its famous rally tires, P Zero and Corsa Classic.

The Italian brand will also launch a prize for the best rookie among the categories Wrc and Myth, following the Pirelli philosophy to bring out new emerging talents.

With plain visibility and the cars branding, the rally heritage of Pirelli – which includes the participation to the World Rally Championship since its foundation in 1973 – will be in first row at an internationally renowned event in the Republic of San Marino.

MONZA RALLY SHOW AND RALLYLEGEND: CHAMPIONS, GREAT CARS AND GREAT SHOW

There is a “fil rouge” connecting two events with very high media impact, such as the Monza Rally Show and Rallylegend. The big resonance and international popularity, the most beloved champions, the dream cars, the very close contact with the audience. From here, a sort of “joint-venture” has been created between the event of the Monza circuit and Rallylegend (which was already present at the 2015 Monza Rally Show with an information point) with some initiatives that will bring the two events closer.
